The perfect snack for any guest and made in minutes with ingredients you are sure to have on hand!

The best part is, you can add and replace any ingredient swaps you choose to best fit your pantry! My recipes suggest my favorite healthy ingredients suggestions, but substitutions can easily be made based on what you have available. The key is just following the measurements to harmonize the sweet and spicy flavors so they compliment one another in perfect balance.

Not to mention my husband I have become so addicted that we now make this part of our weekly meal prep to enjoy as our afternoon snack when the salty craving starts kicking in. Sweet & Spicy Roasted Mixed Nuts

Ingredients
  

  • 2 1/2 cups Mixed Nuts I typically use pistachios, almonds and chopped walnuts. But use whatever you enjoy or have in your pantry.
  • 1.5 tablespoon Butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Coconut Sugar Brown Sugar can be used as a substitute
  • 1 tablespoon Himalayan Salt Kosher salt can be used as a substitute
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper Add a few extra dashes if you prefer spicier
  • 1 tablespoon Dried Rosemary Dried Oregano or Basil can be used as a substitute

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Place mixture of nuts on a baking sheet. Spread out evenly.
  • Bake in preheated oven until warmed through, about 8-10 minutes.
  • Melt the butter on the stove at a low heat.
  • While butter is melting add the coconut sugar, himalayan salt, cayenne pepper, and dried rosemary to a large bowl. Mix to blend.
  • Add the melted butter to the bowl of spices, stir until blended. Mixture will form a paste.
  • Pour the warm nuts into the spice mixture immediately after removing from the oven. Toss with rubber spatula to coat nuts evenly.
  • Serve warm or allow to cool and store in air tight container.
